Welcome to the Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi (FUTIA), where innovation meets excellence in education. As the Vice Chancellor, it is my utmost pleasure to extend a warm greeting to all our esteemed students, faculty members, staff, and stakeholders as we embark on our inaugural academic session since our establishment by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2021.

As a technology-focused institution situated in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, we are strategically positioned to contribute significantly to the country’s technological advancement and socio-economic development.
Our university is part of a distinguished group of 11 specialized science universities in Nigeria, comprising six universities of technology, three agriculture universities, and two health science universities. FUTIA’s array of academic offerings across various disciplines reflects our dedication to addressing the diverse needs of our society and fostering innovation-driven solutions.
Currently, FUTIA boasts nine dynamic Schools, each dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement. From the School of Engineering and Technology to the School of Management Technology, our academic programs are designed to nurture critical thinking, creativity, and leadership skills among our students.
