Motto: Innovation Drives Transformation

Centre for Research in Artificial Intelligence & Robotics (CRAIR)

STRATEGIC PLAN

FUTIA will set up this Centre to conduct fundamental research and develop applications in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Command. Its research areas include the processing and fusion of data from sensors to perceive the surroundings of the robot and intention of moving objects, path planning and navigation in unknown environments, coordination of multi-agent systems formed by groups of robots, brain-machine interfaces, autonomous decision making, and robotic safety and resiliency. Its aim will be to add value to information by delivering dependable information systems to many areas of strategic needs such as the Defence services for battle space dominance. Key research areas shall include multi-agent systems; planning, navigation, and perception; deep learning for safety, security, and resiliency for robotic systems; human-machine interfaces; and applications. It will attached to the School of Computing and Information Technology.
